TELEMEDICINE SERVICE PROVIDER

Our mission at My Virtual Physician is to provide men, women, and children with a dedicated virtual care resource that addresses healthcare problems by providing the best telemedicine services. Ultimately, we want to fill the gap in men, women, and children's health services that has been created by the fact that many physicians don’t offer same-day services. Our hope as a telemedicine service provider is to give men, women, and children a safe, secure, and convenient method for getting the proper care when they need it with our virtual telemedicine services.

Dr. David Howard was originally born in Jamaica and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of eighteen. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Johns Hopkins University and then pursued his Md and Ph.D. in Epidemiology through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He completed an internship at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He is currently a Board Certified OB/GYN Specialist practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada and is affiliated with several different hospitals in the area.

In addition to caring for his patients, Dr. Howard is passionate about research. He has authored/co-authored several publications as well as written his book How to do a Research Project. He is a reviewer for several different OB/GYN journals including Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Also, he has officially been named a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).

Dr. Howard was voted as being among the top 10% of scientific reviewers for Obstetrics and Gynecology, the highest-ranked journal in the field in the United States. Dr. Howard’s passion for medicine and research has also led him to the creation of OB-STATS whose mission is to provide statistical and epidemiological consultation services to researchers.

The ability to address women’s healthcare issues has significantly improved with the introduction of telemedicine service providers. The outcomes of being able to provide the best telemedicine services have proved to be quite positive and have given women better access to more efficient medical services. There’s evidence that, on average, telemedicine patients require fewer scheduled outpatient visits for the management of ongoing issues. Telemedicine makes care more accessible to all. Also, it’s important to note that the same standard of care is always provided as that of in-person appointments, but telemedicine makes care more accessible to all.
