Colon cancer is one of the most preventable forms of cancer, and early detection through regular screening is crucial for effective treatment. At MVP, we are dedicated to promoting health and wellness among our patients, which is why we are launching an important campaign to increase colon cancer screening rates for individuals aged 45 and older.
Colon cancer screening is essential for detecting cancer at an early stage when it is most treatable. Regular screenings can help identify abnormal growths, such as polyps, before they develop into cancer. By catching these issues early, we can significantly improve treatment outcomes and save lives.
As part of our campaign, past patients of MVP who are over the age of 45 may receive a letter or a call from Cologuard. This outreach is designed to encourage you to take part in convenient, at-home colon cancer screening. The Cologuard test is a non-invasive, easy-to-use kit that allows you to collect a stool sample in the privacy of your home and send it back for analysis.
We respect your preferences and understand that not everyone may want to participate in this campaign. If you receive a letter or call from Cologuard and wish to opt out, you can easily do so by texting or calling MVP. We will promptly remove you from the campaign list, ensuring no further contact regarding this screening.
It's important to note that no patient who is uninsured will receive a Cologuard kit. Our goal is to provide accessible healthcare without unexpected costs. Additionally, receiving a Cologuard kit does not mean your insurance has been or will be billed. Your insurance will only be billed if you complete the test and send back the stool sample.
If you decide to complete the Cologuard test and return your stool sample, MVP will contact you to set up a follow-up visit to discuss your results. This follow-up is essential for providing personalized care and determining the next steps based on your screening results.
Early detection of colon cancer can make a significant difference in treatment outcomes. By participating in this campaign, you are taking a proactive step towards safeguarding your health. At MVP, we are committed to supporting you in this journey and ensuring you have the resources and information you need.
For any questions or concerns about this campaign, please do not hesitate to contact MVP. Your health and well-being are our top priorities, and we are here to assist you in making informed decisions about your care.
